In accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade No. 40 / M-IND / PER / 6/2006 dated June 29, 2006 on the Organization and Work Institute Ceramics, Center for Ceramics (BBK) is a technical unit within the Ministry of Industry, which is in under and responsible to the Head of Industrial Research and Development Center for Ceramics has the task of conducting the research, development, cooperation, standardization, testing, certification, calibration and development of ceramic industry competence appropriate technical policy set by the Head of Industrial Research and Development.
In carrying out these basic tasks, Center for Ceramics has functions for:
- Carry out research and development, technical services technology fields of raw materials, auxiliary materials, processes, products, equipment and implementation services in the field of technical training, consulting / counseling, transfer of technology as well as design and engineering industries, the incubation and the prevention of pollution.
- Implement marketing, cooperation, development, and utilization of information technology
- Implementation of testing and certification of raw materials, auxiliary materials and products ceramic industry as well as machinery and equipment calibration activities.
- Planning, processing, coordination of infrastructure for research and development activities under the Great Hall of Ceramic and also perform standard application of the ceramic industry.
- Carry out testing and certification of raw materials, raw materials, auxiliary materials, ceramic products and calibration of equipment and machinery.
- Carry out technical and administrative services to all elements in the big Hall of Ceramics.
